Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom The night had just begun and already it was boring. Mercie believed that it would be entertaining living amongst her kind and with others who are likely to cause drama. She quickly grew bored with mortals, their minds too easy to study, their weaknesses so transparent. She hated the thought that she was once like that herself. Everything appeared different now, transformed into a clearer faster world. For that, she had to be thankful to her sire. He took the snivelling poor human and turned her into what most would call a monster. Mercie smiled at the thought as she sat in the vampire club, nursing a bloody-marry. The other think she liked most about being a vampire was the taste of the crimson nectar that even now she sipped slowly. Mercie enjoyed the delectable taste as it slid across her tongue. The thick viscosity made the drink cling to every tastebud. There was a hint of sweetness that came out first, enticing her palette and urging the rest of her tastebuds to sample the blood. Next came the distinct metallic pang that people associate with blood. After that was the hint of alcohol, the blood making it easy to digest. Of course, it wasn’t as good as from the vein; hover it helped with the constant boredom of this one club. She wondered if a human club would have proved more entertaining, a disconcerting thought since she came all this way to be away from the ignorant race. Mercie didn’t know if the other races were any more entertaining, but she hoped so. Looking around the room, she noticed gyrating bodies, moving to the slow by heavy baseline. The low voice which emanated from the speakers was alluring, attempting to draw the vampire from her seat in the corner. It was a place where she could see the room, everyone who entered and everyone who exited. Mercie always observed, of course, it was imperative to her survival.

Aiden stepped into the club, receiving a few odd looks, but none of disapproval. The werefox had long since grown bored of the other modes of entertainment and sought something different. Something new and exciting. After all, he was only forty. He still had his whole, cursed life ahead of him, and he was going to make the best of it. He ran a hand through his lustrous, naturally chestnut locks, that had just a smidgen of ginger brown, scanning for a nice place to kick back. He wasn't one to join the dancing crowd. He was on his feet enough at work, being the night nurse. He hadn't the patience to go through enough schooling to become much more. Perhaps a seat in the corner? That was already taken by a brown haired woman, Aiden's senses telling him that she were vampire. She didn't look to be too unfriendly, nor that she were waiting for someone, so Aiden decided he'd give it a shot. After all, what harm was there in a werefox conversing with a vampire. It wasn't like he were a human. No, he were much more than that. Though he'd viewed his status as a were-creature to be a curse or affliction, it had some serious benefits like heightened senses and boosted strength, though the price to pay for those benefits was more than monetary. Changes to the vulpine form with the phases of the moon and the desire for flesh were more than enough for the man. He slid into the seat across from the woman, avoiding her eyes at first. He didn't want to come off as a challenger, did he? Of course not, he just wanted to enjoy the time he had off. He'd already gone through his mental list of introductions, and decided he'd just use something simple. " Hello Miss," He'd said politely, waiting to see whether the woman would shoo him off or let him stay.

Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom The crowded room seemed to pulse with life, alcohol swimming in the blood of the very vampires that writhed on the dancefloor. Mercie never understood the customs of human society even when she was human. They often drank until they forgot the idiotic things that they had done. They contracted disease from each other without much thought to the consequences. It seemed ridiculous waste of life, but even the vampires around this club were attempting to be human. Mercie was never a social person, which made her question why she even entered this place. Often, it was her wish to sit by herself, the others around her annoying her with their weakness and stupidity. She once lead one of the biggest gangs in New York, now, she just wanted to escape all the people. Of course, that wasn’t going to happen this night. She attempted to ignore the man who seemed to be gliding towards her. He was different from all the rest of the people in this crowded area. He wasn’t vampire. Mercie had never met any other creature besides what she was and what she had become. She had hoped that he would stay away, for of course he had to be as pathetic as everyone else. When he sat down, Mercie couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Luck wasn’t on her side this evening. His voice was smooth, polite, how she imagined it would sound. He looked as if he was young, but his eyes seemed to hold intelligence, almost wisdom. It was disconcerting to have someone approach her in the first place, but she didn’t know what to make of this man. “Is there something I can do for you?” She asked, her voice light, friendly with a steel undertone of unacceptance. But that described her as a person, her innocent illusion fooled many, and she had no doubt that this person would be no different.

So the young woman didn't immediately kick him away, though she was a bit curt. Good enough for Aiden. He'd slightly expected that, seeing as how he were a were-creature in a place run by vampires. It's not like there were any others of his kind in the building. Maybe she just needed to get to know him. " Well, you could do me the favor of telling me your name? I doubt I could find it out by asking one of them foolish vampires out on the dancefloor..." He didn't think she'd be the type to associate with one of the others. They were just wasting their minds away with their drinks, and Aiden thought the girl looked a little smarter than that, despite her being young and impressionable. It was a tad sad to see someone of such youth turned a vampire. The girl probably didn't get to experience much out of her human life. She was still so new to this world. On this closer look, he noticed she was much younger than he'd thought. For God's sake, she could have been his daughter if he'd ever had one. No, his relationships with women had't ever lasted too long in his younger years, he fearing that he'd hurt them during one of the full moons. Now he doubted he'd ever be able to settle down with someone else, and he was fine with that. He liked being on his own. Tonight was an exception to that. He'd been feeling oddly sociable. Perhaps it had something to do with the state of the moon, or perhaps the house or constellation it was in. " So, woman without a name, why exactly would you come here if you are not going to join your buddies out there on the floor? there are so many others out there who look to be your age, anyways." He might as well get to know a bit about the woman he was bothering anyways.

Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom Mercie, previously, surveying the room, turned back to the man before her. He seemed like he waned to talk, which was interesting seeing as he didn’t quit fit in with the rest of the crowd. But then, neither did she. She tried to get an idea of his character, his strengths and weaknesses, it was always necessary for survival before and now that Mercie knew there were monsters other than humans, she found that it was more important now than ever. As she watched him, she got a sense of vanity from him. He was well dressed with seemingly perfect hair. It wasn’t that he looked like everyone else, but he seemed to take care of himself. With that knowledge, she figured that his weakness was probably pride. That could be an advantage to her if they should ever fight. However, she knew that she needed to get an understanding of his powers before she got a real sense of him. It would be unwise to underestimate him. “My name does not really matter. I’ve been called many things throughout the past 5 years, different names, different terms, but my birth name was Mercie, so I guess you could call me by that, if you need to call me anything.” She told him, her fingers entwining themselves so she could play with the small ring on her left pinkie, with her right one. She did this absently, as she regarded the person before her. “That is a good question, but of course one that I have thought through. I’m here to understand those who are here in this community. It would be stupid for me to hide away by myself waiting for something to happen. Here, I get information. For instance, there are rumours about some new race destroying the other communities. That is valuable information. And if that is true, then I would like to know who the others here are. They could end up an enemy, judging by the other communities, and I like to know everything about my enemies.” She eyed him wearily, her dark bangs shielding her eyes from the view of most of the people in the club. “What about you? Who are you? Why are you here? And most importantly, what are you?”

Aiden hadn't expected such a good answer from the girl. She really had planned things out, hadn't she? Using her brain to get to know what she wanted to. Definitely she was smarter than he'd thought. She wasn't one to be taken lightly, which was just what Aiden had done. So he'd underestimated her because of her young appearance. It was an easy mistake. Who wouldn't? Surely he was not the first. So her name was Mercie. Now it was his turn to answer her questions. Fair enough. He'd bite and tell her. " Well, I guess it's only right to answer to you too, miss Mercie. I'm Aiden Nakano, and you can tell that I'm not one of your kind." He tugged at the sleeve of the black jacket he was wearing, once again avoiding her eyes, " Rather, I'm a page of the mother moon. No, not a page...More of a slave, really. I'm a werecreature, dearest. My were transformation? Vulpes vulpes, the red fox. Vulpes-squared doesn't get such a good rep, does it? Just because a few of these foxes were rabid and bit some poor humans, does that label them all as dangerous? No, they're pretty docile in reality; they eat pests and vermin from the gardens, though the foxes dwelling in suburbia are unfortunate enough to have to scavenge through garbage." Aiden looked back up, meeting her eyes, " Though we werefoxesare different. We don't hunger for that rubbish. No, much like you vampires, we hunger for something bigger; our close cousin the homo sapien, mister, miss, or misses average human." He was sure that the girl knew as much, but what did he care. If he was going to be asked questions, he was going to answer them the way he wanted to. " And why am I here? Well, I'm sure our belief systems on the creation of life may be quite different," Aiden played on the meaning of Mercie's question, " But I'm here in your little club just for pure enjoyment. I'm not sure about you, but if i'm going to be caught in this cursed form for the rest of my time on this earth, I want to be able to look back and have minimal regrets. Who doesn't? But that's not a fair answer, now is it? Too General...Really, all of the other haunts around this town are just too dull to hang around solo. Thought I might just try something new."

Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom The drum of the baseline should have really tuned out the long speech from the man sitting in front of her. It really should have overwhelmed the sound of hearts beating around the room, and made it impossible to distinguish conversations from across the room. But that didn’t happen. Being a vampire, Mercie could hear much better than she ever thought. Her lust for blood absorbing her thoughts at time but her instincts were better than before. That is what helped her understand that Aiden was someone not to mess with. When she concentrated on his words again, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. He spoke about what he was as if it was a curse from the gods. It sounded as if he had been reading too many books written in the days of old when everyone was afraid of the devil. No, it seemed as if the abnormalities of today were not some curse but a mutation that had gotten a little out of hand. Maybe there were always races unknown to humans, but Mercie didn’t feel that it had anything to do with punishments from higher (or lower) beings. Shaking her head, Mercie scanned the crowed once more before turning her attention to the were before her. “So.. basically, you came here because you were bored?” She asked, her dark eyebrow raised, though she knew the expression was lost on the fox. Her hair covered the top of her face, hiding her movement. “That’s interesting, I guess.” Her sarcasm was clear, even in her sweet voice. She knew that she looked younger than she was, she was a vampire after all and never aged, but it helped when people underestimated her. That gave her the advantage. Being as intelligent as she was, however, she realized that she lost that element of surprise when she spoke with Aiden for the first time. She was sure that he still underestimated her though. She looked all of 24, however she was well past that now. She also knew that even though she had some secrets, she was at a disadvantage here against a creature that she didn’t even know existed. She didn’t think, however, that she would get the most updated information from someone who thought he was cursed. She would ask someone else, later. Bringing her mind back to Aiden, she took a sip of the almost forgotten liquid in her cup. It helped her concentrate on one thing at a time. Being a vampire left her scatterbrained sometimes, drawing her attention to too many things at once. Being the person that she was, it was dangerous not to keep on guard. Mercie made too many enemies. But she liked it like that. “You answered the question of why you are in the club but you must not have understood my real question. Why are you here? Before me, sitting there as if you are someone important that I need to talk to. You are just as pathetic as the rest of the people in the club. Are you just going to sit there and be polite, rambling about foxes and boredom.. or are you going to say something ?” [/blockquote]

He was a little taken back by the woman comparing him to the fools out there on the floor, dancing to the tribal beat. Ok, so maybe he got a little too much into talking. A mistake he could live with. He loved his affliction as much as he hated it. After all, it was his theory that the characteristic sleek of the fox's pelt is what kept his hair so nice and minimizing the number of grey's naturally. But it was his mind that traveled all over instead of in a straight line that annoyed poor Mercie. The old, pre-bite Aiden would have pitied her and done his best to help her out of the conversationg to something more fun. Fox-Aiden wanted to be like the old Aiden. Even he had noticed his change of nature and didn't like it much. Perhaps it were a gift of aging. Scratch that last word, "aging", it was a gross word and he wasn't going to use it. He hated the word so even if it were a gift, he wasn't going to accept it. " Yeah, I will say something Miss Mercie..." He paused. His words were ahead of his thoughts again. He hadn't thought this far yet. Ok, how about he anser her question. Why did he chose to sit by her, instead of all the other 'lovely' characters of the Emerald's Arms? " Tell me if my words aren't concise enough for a vampire, but I chose to site over because you seemed to be the only half-decent person to talk to. I mean that only as a compliment, Miss, as there are several other delightful characters I could have spoke to, but none had such an...Innocent look." Aiden probably shouldn't have tacked the last sentence on. So he might have lost her attention agai. The worst that could happen would be that she'd grown bored, and possibly even irritated, with his company, and one of them would end up leaving. He shouldn't even care. He thought himself far above her caliber. But then again, this could be his only chance at some fun in this pit of vampires. He absentmindedly ran a hand through the side of his hair, just trying to think of something he could say or do to keep her attention. His years he'd spent with the old Aiden locked up may have just been too much. He couldn't think on the spot like he used to. The woman clearly didn't care and might actually be pleased to see him leave, so this was all up to him. Then an idea hit him in one of those "eureka" moments. The old Aiden was back in command. " So, you said about there being other unknown species out there, right, and suppossedly they are up to no good. Well, how about we take a more active role and get out there and see what we can find out. Come on, it'll be fun! You need to lighten up a bit anyways. This will be just like playing pretend secret agents or spy or something when you were a kid, only now it's all for real, Mercie! We won't learn anything sitting over here on these chairs sipping drinks." Aiden started out of his seat, fixing his fine jacket as he did so. He was unsure how he did it, but he found the key to the door that sealed away his inner, fun self. For once he was actually into something he'd said. He didn't care so much about the information they were trying to gain, actually he didn't care ata ll, but if it could get Mercie to cheer up and have some fun, he was going for it. Aiden was feeling like a young, playful fox-kit again, and Mercie was much more like the poor little basset hound he found interest in. |WORDS ?? 666|NOTES ?? Nope!|LYRICS ?? Trouble by VAMPS

Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom Mercie could tell that her comparison had not gone well, but she simply didn't care. She had never been a people person, never wanted interactions with anyone. She got bored of people too quickly, and now that she was a vampire, the time when she was interested greatly shortened. She had been in this world too long not to be jaded and angry, hell, she was like that as a kid. She couldn't help but be curious of why he sat in front of her. Even though she looked nice enough on the outside, she thought it was clear that her fuck off sign was clearly lit. She normally wouldn't bother with it, but of course this club was different. She didn't want to be bothered as she listened to information slip from drunkards lips. She didn't want to be approached, questioned, hit on. It had been so long since she wanted any of those things, but everything had changed in her teen years. She no longer waited for leather jacket motorcyclist to come save her from what her life had become. That thought made her inwardly laugh as she remembered how the fashion throughout the decades changed. He might have thought she would have been fun because she looked innocent, or maybe he thought that she would be different. Either way, his answer solved none of her questions. She didn’t seem to get any new information out of him. That even irritated her. What good was he if he had nothing new to tell her, if he didn’t entertain her or do anything useful? As that thought crossed her mind, he came up with something new. Obviously he was trying to think of something to keep her attention, but his suggestion just made her laugh. It was a rolling sound, slightly mocking. “But, my mommie told me not to take candy from strangers, Mister. I don’t think I should go into your van, or find your lost puppy…” She said in a childish voice, her eyes looking innocent and shocked. Of course Mercie had learned how to act when she was younger, it was imperative to her roll in the gang. She was a distraction, or the one to get information from unsuspecting people. It was her job to look innocent. Mercie then rolled her eyes at her words. “You know… you sound like a creeper, and I have met many in my time. You don’t really care about the information. I know because if you did, you would have showed more interest when I said it, you would have asked about it before. Obviously you have something else on your mind. It would be unwise for me to go out into the night with someone I don’t know, from a race I have never heard of before. Do you see how this could be bad?” Even as she said that, though, Mercie stood up and pulled on her jacket. “But I’m a vampire, so I’m quick and strong. I have weapons on me and you have got my interest. So.. fine, lets go see what information there is in the dark. Or, we can cause some trouble. That’s always fun.” She told him, walking towards the door, not looking back to see if he followed. The club was starting to get to her, the noise, smells and heat. She wanted to go outside, and therefore she would.

So he went from droning blabbermouth to creeper? A tad unfair, but maybe he should tone the enthusiasm down a bit? The girl did have a point. She knew nothing about him or his race. He could have strengths she would never have thought of. At least she had a decent mind not to go walking off with the first person to ask her, as she'd made fun of with the "stranger danger" sarcasm. Nonetheless, she did agree to go outside, but only after reminding him she was armed. Great. 'What an excellent impression you make, Aiden.' He gave himself a mental kick, but continued out to the door behind Mercie. Cold, fresh air would be welcome to the man. He hated the stuffed feeling inside the club anyways. It was stupid of him to go to a club, especially one run by and for vampires. He wasn't big on the hot places where your cramped like tuna fishes or sitting on the sidelines with nothing else to occupy the always traveling mind. It was nicer looking on the outside than on the inside anyways. " Ok, if finding the inside of the club a little claustrophobic makes me a creeper, then you being armed, strength and speed, and your apparent need to gather information must make you a ninja...No, Kunoichi." He grinned at his comparison. The only thing cooler than the "supernaturals" they were had to be the humans who were able to complete such feats because of their dedicated training. Aiden himself knew he could't complete even half of the covert operations some ninja of old would have done. Nor would he want to. He was content with more laid back information gathering, just not in some cramped little club as Mercie had seemed to be fine with doing. Like a fox, he liked being outside, especially at night. It was his domain as much as hers. " Ok Mercie, where shall we start." He looked around the dark scene, his fox-like eyes seeing better in the dark, and he was more alert in the night. Sleep during the day, live during the night. His motto and he'd swear by it. The fox in him at least kept him more than able to do his job as a night nurse, rather than slumping about as some of the other, less busy employees would have. He wondered how the vampire's senses were affected by night. He hadn't had a chance to get too close to vampires to learn much firsthand about them. There's always a time for firsts. Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom The air outside was refreshing, caressing Mercie’s pale skin. She didn’t feel discomfort in any temperature, but her mind still told her she did. It hadn’t been too long since she was human, and therefore she still had some of her human traits. Those were a weakness that she knew she couldn’t afford. At the moment, the temperature wasn’t unbearable, the coldness was comforting and the snow covered the grime of the streets. Mercie always liked winter, even when she lived on the streets. It was cold then, but it covered what she didn’t want to see, it froze things that she didn’t want to spell, and forced people to hurry from outside, leaving her alone. The crisp night tonight was refreshing and she spent too much time watching the snow fall through the darkness. Aiden’s words broke the spell that the night held over the vampire. She looked towards him, slightly surprised by his comparison. A Kunoichi? That seemed to fit. She actually liked the thought. It was much better than being the Creeper that she had suggested he was. That in itself didn’t seem like a fair comparison, however, that didn’t matter. She liked the thought of being something of stealth rather than the dirty street-kid she was. Quickly, she looked around the streets. They were mostly empty and therefore there wouldn’t be many people to question. She wouldn’t be able to hear much gossip. She didn’t know why she thought this idea might work, but clearly, it was dumb. Normally, she would have told the person who came up with it, but for some reason she didn’t. Weather that reason was that she was happy she was out of the club or something different, she didn’t know. Thinking quickly, Mercie got an idea. She was sure that she say community council building somewhere. If they were there, they could ask about it, or overhear something. Surely that would work, and maybe then she could figure out what races were here and more things about them. “Come,” she instructed, not bothering to tell him her plan. She had already spoken more than she ever used to, she didn’t feel the need to tell him what he would figure out in a moment. Why waste the breath. The streets were quiet and there wasn’t much to see as they walked towards the large buildings in the heart of town. It didn’t take long and soon they reached the doors, only to find them locked. That figured with Mercie’s luck. Turning back towards Aiden, she raised her eyebrow. “Got an idea?”

Mercie picked the right person to ask for an idea. Foxes are supposed to be clever, aren't they? They were the trickster gods, or demons, depending on which mythology one was looking into. Either way tricksters had to be clever. Aiden kicked the ground with the toe of his boot, slightly scuffing the shoe, then glanced up at the moon. Though he'd hated it for causing him to change, he often looked to the moon for guidance. He knew it wouldn't help him any, but life sometimes revolved around it's phases for the were. To him it might as well have been the ruling goddess. He looked back to the building. " Um...Unlocked Windows...A backdoor...Spare Key under the garden gnome...A lazy housekeeper who's easy to fool...?" Aiden went through his list of movie cliches, " But this is a council building so I'd imagine all but the last would be checked off..." He glanced around the length of the building, " I see no maids, unfortunately, so looks like we're stuck on the outside if we don't want to leave a trace...You know how to pick a lock?" Aiden didn't wait for an answer before he tried to slide open a few windows despite what he'd already said. He didn't think she'd know how to pick locks, though that would prove her more useful than Aiden, who knew nothing of the like. She might have surprised him before, but Aiden thought that there was no way someone like Mercie could have possibly been in a situation prompting her to know how to open doors as such, as far as he knew. As predicted, the windows he had tried were locked or stuck tight in place, you never knew depending on the construction of the windows. Maybe they'd just need a little butter or grease to get them going. " Every contract has a loophool if you look hard enough, right? Well, buildings have gotta be the same way. They want to keep us out, but it's harder than they think. They'll underestimate us just as I underestimated you. There's gotta be some way in. Experience tells that no buildings are perfect, whether in the architectural sense or in security. Aiden didn't like this. Plans weren't suppossed to fail right away. At least let him get to the halfway point. He walked along the side of the building, dragging a hand along the wall. This side of the building was darker, even to Aiden's eyes. All the better for people to get around unseen. " This might prove to be worth checking out, Mercie." |WORDS ?? 433|NOTES ?? Sorry to make you wait. |LYRICS ?? Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom Mercie surveyed the building, trying to figure out if there was any way in. The architecture looked new, too new to have any vital weaknesses. Since it was a new council building, she didn’t think that anyone would have been so careless or have a set pattern that would make them slip up and leave a window open. The roof wouldn’t have a skylight that could be opened. No, the only way in seemed to be picking the lock. She had that thought just before Aiden suggested it. He seemed to think that it was possible for her to have the knowledge. She knew that she gave off an incompetent rich look now, on purpose to give people this idea. For some reason, however, it bothered her to think that Aiden thought that she wouldn’t have such a basic skill. “Can I pick a lock? Hah.” She muttered under her breath. As he checked the windows, Mercie moved towards the door. She quickly looked around, noticing that there was no one around to witness their illegal activity. She looked back at the door before kneeling on the cold pavement. It was always dry by people’s doors so she didn’t worry about the melted snow sweeping into her clothing. She then pulled a small thing wallet, that contained her tools, out of her bra and went to work on the locks. They were new, as she expected, but relatively easy to pick. She expected that there would be an alarm inside so she put her stuff away before opening the door and rushing to the place where the eclectic panel would be. A strong loud noise erupted in the quietness and she knew that she didn’t have much time before someone came to investigate. The next part was even easier. She noted the security company from the sticker on the front. It was one that she had seen before, thank god. She opened the panel and punched in the normal code that they give a new building. Instantly the noise stopped. That was boring, , Mercie thought as she moved towards the door and held it open for Aiden. Surly he heard the noise and would come to investigate. When he didn’t show fast enough, she moved to take a chair, moving it so that it stopped the door from shutting on the way. She didn’t want it to lock on her, as most new buildings did right after the alarm went off. It was in place so that only the owner could come in afterwards. It also helped Mercie so that no one would know that the door was opened. She moved into the offices so that she could find something of use. There was a computer on a small desk outside, clearly a secretary. Inside the largest office there was a bigger desk with a slim computer. Next to that was a locked filing cabinet that would hopefully hold the records for this place. That was where she would start.

WE TRIED TO STEAL A CAR, BUT WE SOON REALIZED WHEN WE GOT DOWN ON THE ROAD NONE OF US COULD DRIVE! A POLICE CAR CAME ALONG AND TOOK US FOR A RIDE, AND WHEN WE GET HOME WE'RE GONNA GET FRIED!UH-OH, WE'RE IN TROUBLE, SOMETHING'S COME ALONG AND IT'S BURST OUR BUBBLE. YEAH! YEAH! UH-OH, WE'RE IN TROUBLE, GOTTA GET HOME QUICK, MARCH ON THE DOUBLE!
Aiden hadn't accounted for the girl to actually know hot to pick a lock. He had been searching for an alternative entrance when his ears had picked up the brief sound of the alarm, which any human could have heard from Aiden's location. A chair held the door open for him; at least she thought enough of him to let him in, or at least he hoped that was the reason as to why the door was held open, rather than to let him sit outside and take the blame. If she would cross him and make him play "martyr", receiving whatever consequences there were for their now-illegal actions, he knew he would never let her get away with it. Though he liked to remain passive with the world, he wasn't above holding a grudge nor getting his revenge for the said act. Though the vampire was full of surprises for Aiden so far, he was sure Mercie would do the same to him if he were the one to do the crossing. Aiden stepped into the council building, leaving the chair where it was, and his first goal was to find Mercie again. His first observation of the room brought up nothing too impressive, Aiden having quite high, preset standards for the way the interiors of buildings should look. If anything, the room was definitely below those expectations; not even worth noting in his opinion. But perhaps it were a mere facade for people like Aiden who would have gotten into the building when they weren't meant to and were thinking of lifting something quite valuable. Maybe he'd be impressed a little further in.' Aiden tapped on Mercie's shoulder, " You find anything yet?" The sooner they found what they were looking for, the more content Aiden would be. He didn't want to run into anyone and he was now starting to grow bored of looking for information on the "unknown" species. All of the possible entertainment in the searching was gone for the man with the short attention span. He would be easily captivated for something, but it took a lot to hold that interest for long. He also hated "looking" for things, too. If it didn't jump out and bite him on the nose, it wasn't worth looking for. Trying to find the TV remote was a pain enough, he only looking between cushions and inside the end table. He simply couldn't search; he couldn't keep it on his mind long enough, a trait that belonged more to a fox kit than a matured fox. He wondered how the vampire Mercie could keep her attention on trying to find this informations so well when it seemed she could hardly pay attention to what he was saying in the club. |WORDS ?? 462|NOTES ?? Run along, little lamb, towards to immanent doom Mercie surveyed the dark streets, peering in every shadowy alcove to make sure that no one had seen them. The air was cold, quiet, only coloured with her energy and that of Aiden. She didn’t think that anything was close enough to witness their crime, however, it is possible. Something such as breaking and entering was too easy. Now was the time that they would be attacked. Nothing ever went this smooth. That thought was quickly ended when the were spoke. Mercie was trying to keep quiet, knowing that there were probably wards around the place. Talking didn’t really set them off, but talking after a break in might. It didn’t help that she was holding the evidence in her hands. It could get them in trouble, not that the vamp minded trouble, it was just that she wasn’t sure how this kind of thing was taken care of in this community. She rarely coerced with other vampires. She tried to silence him with whispered words, her voice full of anger. If he didn’t stop talking, didn’t keep his sentences short, they would soon be found. She knew that walking away was an option, but didn’t know if the feeling she was getting would follow. There were wards that stuck to the person last in them. If they found the person a threat, they would alert the authorities. She didn’t know how they would know something like that, but managed to cheat them once before. When he didn’t seem to hear her, and kept asking questions, Mercie decided that she needed to shut him up quickly. Her annoyance was growing. This fox didn’t know how to survive in a place with other magical creatures, that was for sure. She didn’t think he had a self preservation bone in his body. Mercie moved towards him quickly, using her vamp speed. She then pushed him into the wall, her forearm going to his throat to crush his windpipe. She couldn’t have him talking, but right now, wanted his pain. He seemed dull, and she wanted him to snap. She liked to push people too far, and wondered if this were had an angry side. She glared at him, showing her fangs. Knowing that it wasn’t a good idea to have too much hostile energy in one place, the vampire quickly turned him so that his back was to her and her arm was still around his throat. It might have seemed melodramatic, but Mercie was angry, bored and hungry, those were ingredients that made any situation worse. She quickly moved him out of the area only to move to the shadows where a fight might not be seen. “Are you afraid of death, were-fox? Do you think that the pain will be unbearable? How do you think that I will kill you? Do you think you will go to Hell? Do you think there is a Hell? If this frightens you, then maybe you should lock yourself in you rooms, hide, but even if you survive until you are old and decaying, you will still die, still face God, if you believe in him. Hell, you shouldn’t even be around me if you fear your end, I am a predator after all.” Mercie snarled the words next to his ear, her threat perfectly clear. “How do you think I got the B and E skills, idiot. Do you think that I took a class on it? I’m more dangerous than you think. Surprise, Surprise. Don’t forget that I’m a vampire. But you pissed me off, you know. You are dull, boring, weak. You follow me around like a lost puppy. Why? Do you really have nothing better to do? Maybe I should get rid of you so that you don’t bore anyone to death. I might get a medal for removing a threat… what do you say?” The brunet asked as she pushed him away from him, towards the dead end so that he would have to face her. “Do something entertaining for once! Come on! Maybe if you do then I will spare you. What do you think, were-fox?”
