I am a monster,
but I have a heart.[/center]
Dahvie looked around cautiously as he walked, still not entirely used to the stares that some people gave him. He was starting to like the people that just ignored him as he passed, only because they didn’t look at him and lick their lips. Sure he was used to stares back home, but he knew everyone back home, so people staring at him here made him more than a little uncomfortable. He shivered as the wind slapped him in the face, but did his best to ignore the cold as well as the annoying stares. He probably was asking for the strange looks though, considering the heavy make up and the long hair that made him look more girl than boy, but that didn’t mean people had to stare at him. Dahvie’s way of thinking was strange, but it was probably due to the way he’d grown up.
The teen made his way through the small city to its limits and stopped as suddenly as if he’d bumped into an invisible wall. Dahvie wished he could go back to the warmth of Florida, and take back all of the things that had happened so he could live there in peace again. Too bad he didn’t know a spell that could erase events. He sighed and kicked some of the snow on the ground before starting to walk away towards an opening in the forest nearby. Caine had already warned him to be careful around here, but why should he listen to someone he’d just met? Well, because it was smart to listen to someone that had been living here longer than him, that’s why. He looked around at all of the dead trees, getting a creepy vibe from the forest already. He silently whispered a spell to cast a protective circle around himself, only needing to mouth the words to bring it to life.
As he walked, Dahvie continued to take in the creepy beauty of the forest. ’Maybe I can make a little fort out here or something’ He thought to himself as he looked around. It’d be better than sleeping on the streets or in an alleyway, even if the forest was a little scary, and getting more so as the sun continued to go down. It was nearing dusk, and Dahvie was probably nearing the center of the forest by now. Snapping his fingers, a flashlight appeared in his hand to allow him to see as the sun completely disappeared. Now things were really starting to freak him out, even with his protective shield. ”Why do I always seem to find myself in trouble?” He asked himself, shaking his head, his hair swaying from side to side slightly.
He gasped as a sudden noise to his right startled him and turned his flashlight towards the sound, ready to strike with a defensive spell. To his surprise there was nothing there, but now there was a noise to his left. He quickly turned that away, but again, there was nothing. ”Come out you damn coward!” Dahvie yelled, though the hand on his flashlight shook a bit. He shot a spell out in front of him as he heard the noise again, not impressed that he caught a bird rather than an actual monster that supposedly lived around here. He jumped when he heard a noise once more, and turned to face it.
